Thought for the Day

Good morning
There were a lot of nasty words last week about the flood of working immigrants needing housing - clogging up our schools and hospitals. All those Canadians!
The question pretty well poses itself: Will there be enough land? Enough schools, enough hospitals, enough ….jobs.
We add these worries to the ones we already had about not having enough: not having enough….. recognition not having enough money or security.
The causes for worry are never ending. People behind desks design three inch headlines which give us cause to fret.
It’s a growth industry. We are valuable clients. We worry a lot.
I’d be surprised if you hadn’t already suspected and for a long time now that we need to do more with what we have. It’s quality and not quantity in both our personal lives and our national life
which needs to be acquired.
We actually don’t need more. Happier folk have had less. If we do need more we’ll find it somewhere.
Capacity? We can build more.
Above all, we need to do more with what we’ve got.
And if we had some confidence, some love, some purpose, some Grace within us and around us.
That would be everything.
Given the choice of being adventurous or careful, which one would you rather be? Which one would you rather say at the end of your life That you had been?
The piece of paper in front of me
now contains just enough information
to make it through
to the end
of this
Thought for the Day.
It is sufficient..
